MUSEUMS
Bozen/Bolzano is not only the provincial capital, it is also without doubt the cultural center of the province of South Tyrol. The city museums are unquestionably significant components of the region's cultural offerings.
CIVIC MUSEUM
First opened in 1905 holds one of the most important historic artistic collection and works of arts from the Middle Ages until the 20th century, like as Romanesque Madonna´s and crosses, winged gothic altars and art selection of popular art with the gothic „Stuben“ , original folk costumes and masks.

MUSEON
Is a centre of contemporary culture and sets out to gain an important spot in the Italian museum panorama. The museum exhibits recent works of art of young artists not necessarily following the international mainstream.

NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM
On a surface of 100 square metres the Tyrolean landscape and the birth of the Dolomites is exhibited. The main attraction is given by the marine aquarium.

SOUTH TYROLEAN MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY
Documents the entire history of the Province from the Palaeolithic until the Carolingian area. The museum is known worldwide because of the „Ice Man – Otzi“.
