Guntschna walk

Starts from the old church (worth to visit) in Gries. Winds up the Guntschna hill and descends towards the Fagen neighborhood and Talfer walk.

Takes you to the St. Magdalena hills (origin of the St. Magdalena wine). Following the Eisak river and crossing over it, you will reach the Kohlern cable car (the oldest in the world). From the Virgl hill you can take another path back to Haselsburg castle. It´s a cultural walking circuit which has no equals.

Talfer walk

Can be cycled-on with its well-kept bike bath and takes you to the old town or the Runkelstein Castel (the illustrated manor).

  • Kohlern: it`s the oldest cable car in the world, built for transporting people.
  • Ritten: the new cable car connects Bolzano/Bozen to Oberbozen. Once there explore the unique area by the Renon train, enjoying the view of vast meadows and countryside with glimpse on farms and beautiful panorama on the Dolomites. This ride is a memorable experience. Visit the earth pyramid.
  • Jenesien: here you can admire the breathtaking view on the Rosengarten group.
